BANDOS  ISLAND   RESORT

is a beautiful coral island with a total land area of 178,900 square meters, covered with lush tropical vegetation, numerous palm trees, surrounded by a wide sandy beach and the crystal clear waters of an azure lagoon. The island owns one of the best house reefs, just 40 - 60 meters away from the beach     The well known island if Bandos, with its convenient location in the southern section of North Male' Atoll, situated only one ½ hours by boat from Male', is one of the largest resort islands on the Maldives. It has excellent beaches and its sister island Kuda Bandos is easily accessible by boat.Facilities include a light and airy dining room, attractive coffee shop, a la carte restaurant and an open-air bar with separate dance area.Close to the reception is the shopping area with a photo lab and a business center. 	Right at the water’s edge is Bandos Sand Bar, open from 0730 hours, until the last satisfied customer leaves. Enjoy the exotic atmosphere barefoot on the sand floor sipping a tropical drink from a wide selection. Every now and then a live band invites you to listen or dance the night away, try Karaoke or dance to the hot rhythms played by Bandos DJ The heart of the nightlife of Bandos is at the Sand bar, where two of the best Maldivian bands play twice a week and the popular DJ invites the guests to the dance floor to dance away the blues. Or try your voice at Karaoke in the bar.
There are 225 guest-rooms; 175 of these are standard rooms , 42 are Junior Suites, and the balance 8 are Suites The 175 Standard Rooms has a double-bed, mini bar, IDD, Air-conditioning, beach bed with beach chair, bathroom with shower, hot & cold water plus a hair dryer  The 42 Junior Suites  has a king-size bed, a small sitting area in front of the room, plus all the facilities of a standard room - however bathroom with a separate shower and a bath tub  The 8 suites has all the facilities of a junior suite, plus satellite TV. and coffee making facilities
	The Coffee Shop is open 24 hours and offers a varied A La Carte Menu, ranging from Spaghetti Bolognaise to authentic Indian Curry. True to its name it provides a refreshing moment after a long sunbath. Seating is available inside, or outside under the huge Banyan Tree.  Calypso Band performs daily during the evenings at the restaurants and coffee shop as well as the Sand Bar. Ask for your favorite song while you’re enjoying your meal. Listen to Maldivian songs in the Jukebox for a taste of local songs.
Located on the east side of the island, close to the Dive School, is the Sunset Bar, open daily between 0730 - 1930hrs.  A favorite among divers for a quick snack and a cool drink after a dive. A romantic place for a drink during sunset
The Water Sports Centre at Bandos ensures that the guests could enjoy the water in any way they want, at any time of the day. It provides you with the equipment or facilities for any water sport - Windsurfing, Catamaran Sailing, Water Skiing, Para-sailing, Banana boat riding, Wake board, Knee board, Fun tubes, Canoeing and some more….

The Bandos Convention Centre offers numerous facilities, modern equipment, and experienced staff who has already hosted several international conferences with exceptional success The Convention Centre consists of a Conference Hall, 3 meeting rooms, 2 administrative offices and a VIP lounge. You can choose between the following types of seating: Banquet, Boardroom, Classroom, Theatre and Conference. Please refer to our floor plans for further details and illustration. The Conference Hall can seat 450 delegates theatre style, and 150 banquet style. It also offers you 6 multi-lingual translation booths. The administrative offices are equipped with modern office equipment. The VIP lounge is luxuriously furnished and thus the right environment to entertain guests of any stature or importance
Bandos is  a "family-holiday" destinations in Maldives, due to its child-friendliness.                  If you need sometime for yourself and want to leave your children in capable qualified nannies are on hand to entertain your children in the indoor and outdoor play areas. The Child-Care Centre is situated inside the Sports Complex and is equipped with a nursery full of toys, and a large play area outside. The child-care staffs can provide baby-sitting services for FREE between 0900 hours to 1700 hours - and after 1700 hours for a small supplement. Over-all the island is very good for children, with so much to do and so many other children around (compare to other islands). Plus, a well well-equipped medical center with a doctor on-call day and night is available.
